この記事では、TOEFL iBTのSpeakingセクションの回答テンプレートと回答例をご紹介します！
過去に数回受けた試験では、スピーキングセクションは最低26点以上を取っているので、高得点を目指される方にはオススメです！
それでは、本題のテンプレートと回答例をご紹介します。

1. TOEFL Speakingテンプレートの重要性と注意点
まず、大前提の部分ですが、英語講師としてTOEFLの指導をする中で、SpeakingやWritingのテンプレートの使用は基本的におすすめしております。
しかし、テンプレートに拘りすぎて、逆効果になった英語学習者も見てきたので、メリットとデメリットに触れておきたいと思います。
テンプレートの重要性
メリットその１
本番では「どういうフレーズを使えばいいか」など神経を使っている時間がないので、Speakingのテンプレがあれば内容にフォーカスできますね。
例えば、定番のフレーズ”for example”をその場で言い換えをしようとするのではなく、表現の幅を事前に広げておくといった具合です。
メリットその２
スピーキング用のテンプレがあると、話す量を絞れるので、時間切れを防ぐことができます。
テンプレートの注意点
デメリットその１
当然のことですが、スピーチの流れを整理するものであり、Speakingセクションの高得点を約束するものではないです。
デメリットその２
あまり知られていないのですが、完全にコピペをすると、減点になる可能性があります。（TOEFLのOfficial Guideにも記載のある通り、ETSは剽窃や丸暗記した内容を使うことを禁止しています。）
なので、他のスピーキング用テンプレで多用されるありきたりな英語表現は避けるようにしています。（”I have two reasons to support my opinion.”など。）
以上、メリットとデメリットをそれぞれ理解した上で、各問題別のテンプレートに進みましょう！
2. TOEFL Speaking問題別テンプレート
Question 1
Q1のポイント
まず、Indepedent TaskのQ1は二者択一（新傾向では三者択一もあります）のざっくりとしたお題が提示され、どちらが良いかを説明する問題ですね。
一番難しいのは、英語で理由を述べる部分ですね。
「理由は２つである必要がある」という方もいますが、採点上では必須ではないです。
ただし、一番スタンダードとされている２つの理由のテンプレートをお見せします。
なお、難しいことを言う必要はなく、個人的なエピソードで探すことを大前提としています。

Q1のテンプレート
イントロ
I would argue that 質問に対する回答 for a few reasons.

Q1の回答例
I would argue that coworkers do not make the best friends for a few reasons.
To begin with, competition can get in the way of your friendship. I remember when my friendship with a coworker in Japan got rocky when we had to complete for promotion.
Additionally, it is hard to keep in touch once one of you leaves the job. More specifically, I used to hang out with my coworkers a lot when I worked in a rural area of Japan because it was more community-oriented, but once I moved to Tokyo, our lives became very different. What was keeping our friendship was, I realized, our work.
Based on my personal experiences, I feel that coworkers do not necessarily make the best friends.
Question 2
Q2のコツ
続きまして、Integrated TaskのQ2は必修のクラスの追加などのキャンパス上で予定されている何かの変更についてのパッセージを読み、その変更に対する学生の意見を英語でまとめますね。
こちらのスピーキング用テンプレートはQ1と似ていてシンプルですが、何よりもしっかりノートが取れるかが鍵になってきます。（※ノート取りについては、また別途記事を書こうと思います。）
Q2のテンプレート
イントロ
(1) According to the announcement, the university is パッセージに記載されている変更点.
(2) The man/woman in the dialogue is favor of/against this idea and explans why.

As these reasons show, we can see that the man/woman agrees/disagrees with this announcement.
Q2の回答例
According to the announcement, the university is going to start requiring students to consult their advisors for course registration. The man in the dialogue is in favor of this idea and explains why.
To start, he believes that students should choose what they want, instead of what they need. He then talks about his World History class as an example where his classmates were clearly not engaged in the class, which was a huge distraction.
Secondly, he goes on to explain that this system will help students pick classes that help them with their careers. More specifically, he wanted to take a rock-n-roll class but his advisor talked him out of it because it was not aligned with his career goal to become a professional in public policy.
As these reasons show, we can see that the man/woman agrees/disagrees with this announcement.
Question 3
Q3のコツ
次に、Integrated TaskのQ3はアカデミックな内容のパッセージを読み、関連した講義を聞いて、まとめる問題ですね。
何よりも重要なのは、具体例を講義でしっかり聞き取り、かつ簡潔にまとめることですね。
つきまして、こちらのSpeakingテンプレートでは具体例の補足の部分を最大でも２文に留めるようにしています。
理由は、ポイントを絞って話さないと時間切れになってしまうので、簡潔にすることを意識するためです。

Q3の回答例
The topic discussed in the passage is compassionate consumerism, which refers to how a portion of profit goes to a charitable cause when individuals make a purchase. In the lecture, the professor provides two examples to expand on this topic.
The first example is ABC Shoes Company. They were successful using a 1:1 model, where one pair of shoes get donated to someone in need in exchange for one pair purchased.
Second, the professor goes on to discuss Bob’s Coffee. The company essentially donates 10% of its proceeds to the conservation of the rainforest in South America, where their coffee beans are produced and sourced.
These examples illustrate the idea of compassionate consumerism and how it is used in the real world.
Question 4
Q4のコツ
最後に、Integrated TaskのQ4は講義を聞いて、その内容をまとめる問題ですね。
こちらはとにかく聞くことに集中するわけですが、テンプレはQ3と非常に似ています。
ただし、英語のフレーズなどを少しアレンジしたスピーキング用テンプレートを紹介しておきます。

Q4の回答例
In the lecture, the professor discusses human aggression, which is defined as behavior that causes a person psychological and physical harm. The professor delves deeper into this subject by describing two theories.
The first theory is that human aggression is a product of evolution. More specifically, in the past, life was much more dangerous and males would act aggressively to protect their mate and offspring. This aggression attracted females, helping them pass on this trait through their genes.
Another theory the professor explains is Social Learning Theory. Essentially, human aggression is not innate but learned from social contexts. For example, children who observe violence at home or through video games are more likely to exhibit aggression.
To sum up, these two theories illustrate the concept of human aggression and why it exists.
